Didn’t I say he had an infectious grin?!  Thanks again for letting me spend time with your family and record this stage of this sweet little man’s life.

I am not sure I have ever seen a newborn not even two weeks old successfully push himself across an ottoman under the power of his own legs and unassisted (he was laying on his tummy) before. I have a feeling that with focus and determination like that he will do great things when he grows up–and give his mom and dad a run for their money in the process   This sweet little one may only be two weeks old as I write this, but he knows his mind.

Now, this picture is me shamelessly teasing his dad. His dad is a BIG time Steelers fan. I know that he was really looking forward to getting portraits of the two of them in their team colors. Since this is only supposed to be a sneak peek and not the full presentation this is just a zoomed in peek at a cropped portion of one of those images, but rest assured we got some really cute portraits of you with your son showing the Steelers some love.

There is a reason I titled this post “A Beautiful Family”, and I think you’ll see one of the reasons with the image below, but there was also just a sense of peace in the home and a quiet way that the parents interacted that just made me happy to see.  “Mr. G” is going to grow up in a home with some very attentive parents and there is no question but that he is well loved.  Grandma even flew in from out of state to welcome him to the world and help out.

I mentioned earlier that Mr. G’s dad wasn’t quite able to get home from serving our country in the Army and being deployed overseas in time for his arrival.  I didn’t mention that Mr. G’s mother is also in the service.  I have many friends and family who either are, or have been deployed over the last several years and so your service is something that is near and dear to my heart.  I know how much it means to have your husband there for the birth of your children, and I can imagine how difficult that must have been.  Thankyou both for the sacrifices you have made for us as a country, and by extension, for me and my family.

It has come to my attention that my contact form wasn’t working for several days—I was not getting some contact information at all, and so I didn’t know that some of you were trying to get a hold of me.  Additionally, some of the forms came through incomplete.  For instance, I know that one of the nice ladies who I asked about having her daughter model for me, sent me an email, but it wouldn’t open–it only had a simple subject line.  Please, if you see this post, and you tried to reach me, but didn’t get a response, try again.  I do my best to respond to all client inquiries and other questions within 24hrs.  The problem should be fixed now, so drop me a line and let’s try this again!  Thank you so much for your understanding and patience.
